Hi Lyn, it's from a site called "Craft Elf" and it's titled "Crochet Rose Granny Square Afghan".  It says to use a size 5 hook but I tried that with 8 ply wool and I felt the square was a bit too big and holey so I went back to a size 4 hook and i like it better. Just a personal thing, although I think the wool they use in the pattern may be a 10 ply.  Good luck. Let me know if you can't find it and I'll email you the pattern.  (I will try and attach it here as well for you)

Annie that brought back lovely memories. Many years ago my Mother made two bedspreads out of that pattern. She did a pink one for herself and a blue for my sister.  When Mum was moving into a retirement village the bedspread was wrapped up and put into a plastic bag and loaded onto the truck, when we went to make her bed we couldn't find the bedspread anywhere. Our thoughts were that while we were unloading someone took it out of the truck while we weren't watching because a couple of other bags went missing too. Mum was heartbroken so my sister gave her hers.  I hope whoever took it looked after it. I love the colours of yours. Will look forward to seeing the finished rug.

Thank you. Now all I have to do is work out which of my three daughters to give it to. I don't think I want to do another two of them, but maybe down the track a bit. Who knows.

No, we have our own home in Brisbane. My mum passed away last year, so this is the first year that we are able to travel for any length of time. Before we just did a few weeks at a time so didn't go too far away. In a few weeks we are heading off to Western Australia for a few months. Looking forward to it. Are you travelling too?

Just crocheting, knitting and playing around on the computer. I was breeding budgies up until a couple of months ago when I lost all but two to a virus. I am just letting the remaining two get better and will start again when we get back. (I did post another picture of this forum titled "Christmas presents" . They were knitted mostly during the tennis in January). Have you been over to W.A. In your travels? Any suggestions on good places to stay? We hope to do a few free stays on this trip. We had three days without power up at Jondaryn Woolshed last year for the Jackie Howe Golden Shears and went okay so here's hoping.

no never been to wa, mostly up and down the east coast up as far as rocky a few years ago, been to Tassie, hope to go down to Vic and across to SA starting spring this year. but for the moment taking of in about a fortnight up to Kootingal then across to the coast for winter, I don't like the cold.
I,m giving you my email address thought it might be easier and a less public than the forum. maybe we can chat via email, always looking for a chat or two. I put it on your message board.
