Tuesdays the day !

"Yep" tomorrow, Tuesday is the day this little kiwi goes in to Hospital for the long awaited bore out of the Arteries in both legs,

Or rather the correct Procedure is called,    Transluminal Balloon Angioplasty "what a mouth full"

Everyone knows that a kiwi can't fly, sure hope this one can walk afterwards.

No one can tell me what time the opp will take place but, they want this flightless bird in the hospital and ready for the big needle by 7.00am

that means fighting the morning traffic on two highways, the Tonkin and the Great Northern all the way out to the Swan Districts Hospital which is in the Midland District, about 15 km away from home.

I have a very sympathetic daughter who said, "I told you to stop smoking years ago", now you'll suffer !!

My  answer was, "Ya can't keep a good kiwi down", just see if we aren't back on the road with-in a Month,

see ya all.  K.J.

Thanks for the well wishers everyone.

Back home again and resting now. I got the orders, no walking, no driving, and no riding the push bike for three days,

Now. if anyone tells you the opp I've just been through was a piece of cake,  I would say they haven't had the opp.

when they started to expand the arteries, it was like a hot pocker going right down both legs, '' Shear murder"

Because I was so long coming round after a previous opp, the Surgeon decided to do the opp under local annicestic. this numbed the body alright.

but it never killed the pain, "BOY'' talk about agony,  never never again.

I will know in about a week if the opp was successful, it had better be.

I feel for you. I forget what the procedure is called, but I had the thing from the groin to the heart to fix a problem, and they needed to do it while I was awake, so I could comment. But he must have hit a nerve in my groin, because every time he moved the thing, I'd just about jump off the bed. Agonising. In the end they had to give me a little sedation.

Give me sedation any day. Poor you. Hope you feel better soon.
