from a new solo soon, one problem i have is ironing my gear. i need a small ironing board and iron or do i do it on table, i use to do it that way 40 years ago but not had to do it since then
Glenelg, throw away your iron. Roll up your clothes instead of folding them and you won't need it. Life on the road is very casual, no one is going to notice a few creases.

I must remind you Dave, you are not allowed to "swear" on this forum (eg; work, iron etc)
Mate I can't remember the last time I ironed anything, all wash and wear and definitely not on the road.
Hang them properly after washing and you won't need to iron, let the wind do it for you
You don't need an iron. Roll up your clothes carefully and if you need them a little more formal. just hang them on a hangar and use a spray bottle with water and a few drops of lavender oil. Obviously a light spray.
Then flapping around in the breeze will work wonders.
A good way to have wrinkle free clothes, is buy 2 sizes two small for you, then you won't be worried about wrinkle's when you put them on,,,,,,, stay excited Billeeeeeee
Glenelg, you definitely need an iron. I iron on my table with a towel and a special ironing square. I still iron everything including my t-towels. I know I could possibly be banned for my continual swearing, however that is just me. Out there camping a lot of my clothes are non iron ones. So from the lonely voice of a few, yes to the iron.

I have seen the 12v iron on the Deals Direct site - don't think it is quite the up market one with shot of steam etc., but probably would do the job if you had a spray bottle.
Dave, I spent the morning, well a half hour ironing, and what a sense of achievement afterwards. All nice and smooth, and put away. You stick to your guns and join the minority group. We are just that little more exclusive, us ironers.

I do have an iron but no Board,That does not come with me on travel , I never iron clothes un less it is for an important occasion. Jeans, T-shirts etc you fold them neatley and put them under your matress. Next day it looks presentable, and when you wear it the body heat will do the final touch. Good luck, and don't worry, i have never had anybody told me to iron my clothes. Besides you are camping, enjoy your time. Johanna
