Sydney service for Toyota Coaster

I'll be needing a 300,000km service when I get into Sydney next week. Anyone have any service centres they recommend. Thought I would bite the bullet and go to a dealer, but Phil Garrett had shocking reviews. i have the 3B engine so shouldn't be much drama anywhere that's good with Landcruisers as well as Coasters.

Cheers

I would not assume that all dealer service centres are poor. We use a local dealer one and think it is excellent. They even went out of their way to arrange a tilt tray truck when the Driver mistook the fuel and water inlets! It is not the closest dealer to us, because the nearest one does not have the gear to manage our height and weight. That is something you would need to check out first.

The other option is to look for a place that does truck services.

That's true Wendy, I have had good and bad service from dealers in the past but then I've had the luxury of establishing that from trial and error by living in an area. Since I'm "on the road" I was hoping to get some Sydney area recommendations from those that are happy with their service centres. Could you let me know who yours is if you're in the Sydney area?

Cheers, Mike

Mike I used Toyota dealer whilst under warranty, but use Repco now as they have workshops and warranty Aust wide AND much more favourable pricing for same job - as a rule PLUS they use genuine parts as required.

Used Repco Darwin for years no problem (previous 4WD) ,,, Toyota have the same problems as everyone, keeping good people, so I don't see any advantage sticking to them.

Toyota ALWAYS want to do a wheel alignment,,, had 1 in 9 years, tyres wearing perfectly, so it's a VALUE ADDED SALES PITCH. This is where you front to get service X and they try to value add a service, all retail do it, service stations, supermarkets et al.

Cheers Baz,
Sydney Diesel Service got back to me today and I was able to book in with them for next week. They had good reviews from another site.

Hazzo - am in Melbourne area, so no help - until you visit the deep south.
