PICKED UP OUR NEW HOME

Hi Everyone, We picked up our new home and have parked it at the Lawnton Showgrounds, Brisbane and have begun filling it up with our worldly goods. It is 7 years old but I have fallen in love with it. Lots of buttons Strop and I do not know what they are. Today working on the caravan, tomorrow cleaning the house. Strop mowed for the last time yesterday and for the first time ever the lawn mower packed it in after he had mowed three quarters of the yard. how's that. had to put it in to be repaired today. if you are near Lawnton showgrounds, call in and say hello.  Was going to start a blog but have not had the time to work that out yet. so for those who are following my adventure. hello and hope to meet you all in the playground. cheers. rocket n strop

thankyou everyone for your well wishes. I have so many friends on here, I can't wait to meet you all.

first night in the caravan tonight. just worked out how to flush the toilet (thought that a necessity), and turn on the lights. the switches are not on the walls but on the light itself.

There is a vent high up on the wall near the ceiling and I am wondering if cold air will come through.

there are 22 caravans here.

I'm up for a counter meal but am too tired to go.

thankyou everyone, you have all been so supportive.

regards. rocket.

hi, thanks. it's true i'll be ill in a caravan or a house. and the house I only look at 4 walls and hardly ever see anyone to talk to. the big plusses of a van are: 1.  manageable housework, 2. people to talk to, 3. would get out in the sun more often, 4. would walk more often, 5. see new places, 6. visit family and leave when we have had enough, 7. not have to worry about paying those electricity, gas, rates, and water bills on time. thanks for advice - it was good advice. cheers.

How,

Yep that all sounds very familiar indeed Rocket. I knew there was a reason why I made the big change too.

I have been out here only two weeks and feel better already, sun is great, walk up a slight hill for toot and get some water, sleeping, even some of the aches are feeling better and the list goes on.

Enjoy the playground Rocket and Strop.

Just maybe, you will have to find another name for " Strop " soon biggrin
