Hi all, Thought you might like to see some work of my partner Pauline. She has been sculpting for some time and, more recently been painting. I think her passion is in the clay though. Cheers, Brownie
Hi "Wandererone", yes, you're right on the money. Clay it is.
Thanks to the others for your comments. Pauline has been sculpting for a long time and we both worked at creating her "dolls" until retirement. Google "Pauline Middleton" I think there are still some images of the mainly "black" dolls that we used to make. These days, as well as painting, Pauline has been doing these smaller sculptures in clay, firing them and painting them in products that either make them look weathered metal or bronze. They are looking good. She also has been sculpting tiny babies (that fit in your hand) and I reckon that they are pretty cute too. I'll post a couple more photos. I am proud of her work , as you can tell!! And, Dunmowin, if we meet on the track I bet Pauline could get you doing nice stuff too. We used to run sculpting and mold making workshops. We never met anybody without an artistic bone!
They are very very nice beautiful crafted Brownie2 Dunmowin you just haven't found what you are capable of creating yet as I thought the same myself until 10 months ago and found something that challenged my imagination and started making metal art it's almost embarrassing the compliments I get about my creations as I am sure Brownie2 sometimes feels, just give it a go sometime, it's fantastic and relaxing .

Thanks for your kind comments Sue. I'll post some more photos of things I am working on some time soon.
And lokidog, we don't fire anything while we are travelling. I spend most of my time sketching and painting.
Always come home with so many ideas!
Cheers,
Pauline
