Companion Washing Machine

Hello all - just a question to the owners of these machines - is it necessary to empty the washing water out so you then rinse with clean water or can you spin the washing water back into the washing side and then rinse in the spinner compartment and then spin that water off?  I know you can do this with bigger machines but not sure about this one.

We haven't tried transferring the spin water back into the wash area on ours. Only drains the spin water when hose down. Water doesn't pump up as far as we know. Don't know how you would empty spin area into wash area. Prefer to drain and re fill with clean water.

I say we, I mean wife as I wouldn't know how to turn on so 2nd hand info. biggrin

Companion machine refers.

Dick.

We have a companion twin tub and our procedure is to wash the light load then transfer to the spinner tub then in the same water (perhaps a small top up) wash the dark load.
Transfer this load to a bucket and empty the machine. Fill with fresh water and rinse the spinner load and put back in spinner and then rinse the dark load in the same water. Leave in tub and then empty machine and spin the first load as the machine is emptying. We use two buckets to save stopping the spinning cycle as the machine empties. A very water saving method as we can wash and rinse with a maximum of 6 buckets of water. Have even used the spinner just to get the water out of the hand washing when required

Wouldn't travel without it and wash every few days.

We have a built in top load washing machine in our van with a capacity for five kilo and at times I have over estimated how much to put in and overflowed it when it fills with water, unfortunately I have not seen one that doesn't completely empty after each cycle.
