Could someone help me please. My Son & young Grandson are traveling to Brisbane along the coast, he has Camps free book but does not show free camping. Is there any place to stop overnight or may be show ground camping.
The book he needs is the Camps Australia Wide - Issue 7 is available at the moment, and in February next year Issue 8 will be released (comes out every two years).
Or they could get Wiki Camps on their smart phones or tablet. There are heaps of camps along the way, also in this forum, if you go to the Free/Budget campsites section, and go to QLD - there are some listed there as well.
Hope they get organised and have a good trip.

How many days and kilometres per day travel? This would make a difference on what to suggest. Look at this map. A few that come to mind are St Lawrence (pin B) Wongi Waterholes (inland from pin C) or one either side of Gympie (pin D.)

wikicamps is great for this......has off line (when no mobile signal available) or on line maps with GPS will take you to where you want to go and shows pretty much all free or low cost areas as well as caravan parks. Separate folders which pretty much replicates this Forum. Cost to buy the on-line app is about $7 per year
