Seniors with Android problems

This is not a caravan question but is indirectly a travel question since I will mostly use my new tablet when travelling. I do not own a modern mobile phone. Mine is so old you fill in the blanks with semaphore signals. My question is does anyone know of a site I can visit that will give me concise and precise simple language instruction on how to understand and use anroid. I have just bought a Dxtreme D1029 tablet. The instruction manual is something less than a6 size so i have no chance of reading it and when i google it my printer won't print it. Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Google "Android Manual", you will find many tutorials, there will also be many tutorials on YouTube, none of these tutorials will be specific to the device you have bought but all Android devices operate in the same way except for minor differences so you will find these tutorials will be help you to learn to use your device.
There does not seem to be a downloadable manual just for the Dxtreme D1029.
Cheers
David

The other thing you could do would be to enquire at your local Library. Those places often run courses on these sorts of things for seniors. If not they may well know where you can get some help.

Android Tablets For Dummies

I was noticing copies of this as I was wandering through a bookshop today. I also purchased one when I first got mine, it's quite useful.

Hi,
Ive two suggestions you may wan to try

1. www.youtube.com and search for android. You will find heaps videos showing how to do stuff with android
2. Give it to a teenager for couple hours then ask them to show you how to work it.

Im a male , instructions are what you read when you have broken it, well thats what she who rules the interior tells me.

Hope this helps.

I note that is around a 35.1 MB download. Before I waste all that out of my meagre download limit, is it aimed at tablets, phones, applications, games or programming? There are about 11 different books in the Dummies series on different aspects of Android. It's not much good wasting all that download if it's the wrong one.

Thanks, I've done my dash and downloaded it. It actually came down as a 36,007 KB file. That will be easier to cart around than a thumping big book.
