How old is your van and is it still under warranty. Do you know if they are supplied by Dometic European windows These are identified as having an external black frame around them on the outside? My van is 7 months old and two of mine have gone like yours. I fixed it once but it went again later.
The rollers lose their tension for some reason and I also find some windows are more difficult to operate than others because of different tensions.
I rang my manufacturer who got in touch with Dometic, who rang me and without question sent me the replacement "inner" sections of the windows. They come in two parts, the outer section and the inner section.
I have to get an authorized Dometic agent to install them. If they are the same type give Dometic a ring and talk to them, they were very obliging, although my van is still under warranty.
They did indicate to me that if I do still have a problem outside of warranty, by all means give them a call and they would see what could be done. That to me is pretty good service.

 My van is a 2013 model, it has white surrounds. My springs are working OK. The design is that the material sits in the track with no other support. The butter knife was blunt enough to push the material back into the track. 

Its ts not the best design but works well when it works.

Robo. I will check mine and see if they are the same make.

Phil. Mine are also like yours with no support down the sides and the material does come out of the side tracks but has only happened once they start to play up.

It may well be that they make them with white surrounds, it just that Dometic asked me if mine had black surrounds. Did not take enough notice if he asked me for both frame colours.
I think the concept is good and I like the fact it they have both blinds in one, but I hope the design it is not compromised with regular use.

I have Mobicool window blinds/flyscreens that slide vertically. The problem I have is not the tension, but the blind fabric is escaping from the horizontal support. I imagine that the bound edge of the fabric can be glued back in the slot (with some difficulty), but is there an easy way to do this? There is no obvious way to remove the inner frame, it sits flush on the wall and there are no visible screws. I don't want to damage the caravan wall or the inner window frame by trying to remove it without knowing how it is attached. The caravan is a year out of warranty (thank you Covid lockdown). Any experience or practical suggestions?

Well 18 months later and one caravan trip. The blind failed again after just pushing the fabric back into the horizontal support; the rail that you raise or lower in the frame. This time I took the tension out of the roller and pushed the fabric back into the rail and ran a bead of glue along the fabric and rail slot on both sides of the fabric. This, I hope, should be a permanent fix. I don't know what the glue is, but my wife uses it in her craft work and the nozzle is the size of a hypodermic syringe making it easy to get inside the slot where the fabric is supposed to stay.

Edit: I almost forgot. An internet search revealed that the inner frame is clipped on to studs used to fix the outer frame in the opening. There are 14 clips on my smallish window and a paint scraper (thin, wide metal) slid under the inner frame against the wall makes it an easy job to pop the inner frame off.
