Looks like that Rain Dance people in Perth have been doing, may be answered...........
SEVERE STORM WARNING ISSUED BY FESA......
Get ready now for severe weather for Albany to Gingin
Wednesday 28 January 2015 - 2:40 PM
If you live in parts of WA bounded by a line from Windy Harbour to Perth to Gingin to York to Narrogin to Albany, along the south coast to Windy Harbour, you should take action and stay safe with the risk of severe weather.
This includes people in or near the south eastern suburbs of Perth, and Bridgetown.
This is typical weather for this time of year but could damage homes and make travel dangerous.
As at 2.15pm on 28 January 2015 the Bureau of Meteorology advises there is a risk of severe thunderstorsm this afternoon and evening.
At 2pm radar imagery showed potentially severe thunderstorms to the southeast of Perth, extending further south to near Boyup Brook.
We sure hope they are right for once, will help put out the four fires burning around Perth.
I've just stuck the head out the back door, "Yep" looks like they could be right this time.............

```G'day there Bruce & Bev,
"WOW" What a night,!!!! We've only just had the power restored, been off since around 5.00 am , it's now 4.15 pm
33.8c right now, we've been doing a slow cook all day.
Not a lot of rain to talk about, a short shower is all we got here on South Side, the Daughter lives about 7km away from us, She said they had heavy rain plus hail where they live in Huntingdale,
"Boy" what a thunder and lightning Storm, we had here, it started here around Midnight and was still going strong till lunchtime.
Nothing like N.Z. weather though, we were used to getting 300 mm per hour over there, and talk about black clouds they would hang around for days.
Anyway the record for rain-less days has been broken here, I think it was a run of 62 in total, all we want now is some more rain and a lot less heat would be nice.
From Coast to Coast, We'll see it all.......One Day
We had to go to Perth again today. Foggy and high humidity when we left at 6 am, Clear skies while we were in Whitfords. Across to High Wycombe and it was still hot and dry although we could see lightning on the horizon. Got back thru Midland onto West swan Road and it was still dry,turned up Lord Street and drove straight into a rain cloud!! Bucketed down up to Ellenbrook and drove out of the cloud before we got to Alexander Drive and was fine and no sign from there to Wanneroo that there had even been any rain. Got back to Wanneroo at lunchtime. Did my shopping and got home around 3.30pm. looks like there was a light shower here at some point but the washing was all bone dry so couldn't have been much. Hot and humid and windy here now.
