hello, I have recently puchased a motorhome and am interested in installing a uhf radio. Could anyone tell me if there is any problems with the range of the uhf being interfered with due to it being mainly fibreglass construction.
Welcome to the gang Leowl, enjoy here and out in the playground.
The higher up the antenna the better. If you can't mount it high up try and get a longer antenna and around 5-7db. Keep any joins to a minimum as well.
Hope all goes well and whatever you do keep safe good buddy. Remember 5&35 are the emergency channels.

Welcome to the site Leowl,
Because the vehicle is mainly fibreglass you would be better off getting a ground independant antenna, fibreglass is a poor earth.
RFI and GME are good brands for your application.
