Well the cruise has been over for a couple of days and the disembarkation went off easily as planned and the bus was ready for us at the Kingsford Smith Parking Station. We took off for June's sister's place near Nanango and we have had a good time whilst parked here. Tomorrow Tuesday we plan to meet up with Billeee and Jules at Boonah and spend a few days there, we have things to do back on the Gold Coast on Friday morning.
Collect and fit the new mattress from Makin'Mattresses in Nerang and pick up Marnie the cat from the cattery, we have been told that the unit will be ready for us after the renovations by Friday mid day. Having lost my glasses during the cruise I have an appointment Friday afternoon to get them replaced, we left the ship in Vila and I was wearing the glasses it was muggy and they fogged up. I tucked them in my shirt and promptly forgot about them, no big deal 'cos I wanted to have my eyes tested for new glasses and this has brought it about sooner.
Have the bus booked in for a service and safety check in Currumbin on Monday morning and am anxious to get to Bunnings to buy piping, hinges, clips and corners for a project to create a shower on the outside of the bus. More on that later with photos of the finished job. The additional 40 watt solar panel has been fitted between the front basket and the other solar panels and it is sending the power to a regulator above the cranking battery. Spending a long period of time in one place can allow the cranking battery to gradually lose power especially if the inside lighting comes from it.
Just had a beard trim, after the cruise I decided that it was scruffy and got June to weald the scissors and shaver, this could be stage 1 with more to come off. We were having a quiet afternoon when this king parrot came to visit, it clearly had been here before and made it clear that it was time for a meal. I was able to get several photos whilst he had his meal, there were many wallabies on the property but I was unable to get a good photo. There was a spectacular sunset and that stood still for a photo. John
Welcome back on dry land John, it was wonderful reading and great pics., love the King Parrot, say hi to Jules n Billeeeeeee for me., happy travels Fran
