Enough has been said about the daily kayak paddle and hunt for red claw but it is part of my daily life now and I am accumulating a few in the freezer ready fo another meal. The bank where I can paddle to easily is becoming choked with weeds and I am moving steadily further round resulting in a longer paddle. Today netted 2 and that was 2 more than yesterday and the day before.
A newsworthy happening occurred yesterday when a lady had a heart attack whilst swimming, fortunately she was with friends and the ambulance was called and she was taken away then put on a helicopter for transfer to a regional hospital. Her husband did not drive the car whilst towing so one of their friends towed the van back home and the husband drove his car. This was on the news but we have no reception here and didn't see it but Jules got it first hand from one of the ladies friends.
Was invited for tea again last night, Billeee decided to eat goat and bought some chops. I was invited, probably the beard did it anyway Jules did us proud and an enjoyable meal was had. Another late night but still watched another episode of Game of Thrones Series 4, I need to watch it a second time to understand all the comings and goings and places in the kingdom.
Another surprise Billeee and Jules packed up and left, this surprised us because they had intended to stay for a couple of months but something cropped up and off they went. No indication was given as to why or to where they were going. All the best to Billeee and Jules and hope to catch up again on the road.
http://thegreynomads.activeboard.com/t59906288/help-needed/ this post appeared on the forum and I have decided to go to Gracemere on Tuesday to help. I have to go to Eidsvold on Tuesday to have a 6 monthly injection for lack of bone density so I will pack up and go to Paul's place after, John was going to drive me on his vehicle.
So Sunday was a day of part packing, I collected the nets and brought them back, deflated the kayak and managed to get it back into it's box. Packed away the choofer, had a shower and packed up the shower tent then put away the Coleman Hot Water on Demand. Monday will finish the packing up allowing me to get away Tuesday morning in good time. The washing is planned for Monday morning prior to the packing up.
Monday evening and everything is in readiness for tomorrows departure the only things left to do are stow away the wheel levelers in the rear box and pull down the antenna. The water is higher this year and I have put up a couple of pics to show the difference. Also added a sunset and sunrise here at Wuruma. John
Might miss you after all John. We are heading to Biloela for a few days to visit friends.
We were then heading to Waruma for a couple of days.
Sorry we missed Billeeeeeee and Jules too.
We were looking forward to meeting them.
Good on ya for giving a helping hand to Paul too
Frank I expect to return to Wuruma but no plans yet.
Arrived safely this afternoon at Paul's place and discussed several jobs to be done mostly in the garden, I don't mind specific jobs like cutting down trees and removing garden beds but draw the line at general gardening, weeding and tidying up. The garden is a bit like painting the Sydney Harbour Bridge by the time you worked your way round it would be time to start off again.
Called in to see Sarg and Ame25 at Monto, both are volunteering to help Blazeaid and a good service that organization performs for the farmers in difficulty after the cyclone destroyed fences etc.
