Melb to Coober Pedy Leaving Mid June 2015

Anyone have any suggestions about places to stop and see on our journey to Coober Pedy, going via Mildura. We have a 20.6ft Supreme van and a Toyota 200 series.

Any suggestions on free camp sites or low cost.

John Kay you may get a better response if you put this in the General section rather than the 'Get Togethers'. We haven't been to Coober Pedy so can't help.
