Longreach again

Back at the Stockmans' Hall of Fame for a couple of weeks to 'volunteer in the Gallery again.

Was south of Windorah when it rained last week. Bit of a worry when in 'Channel country' with major floodways but all ok. A bit of water on the road.

Road from Thargomindah, Eromanga, Windorah, Jundah, in and out of Stonehenge - all sealed now although just one lane much of the way but all good as very little traffic.

Wish I had known spida. Have just spent a couple of days in Longreach. Might be back there next week. Will pop in.
Friends of mine went out to it this morning as I was leaving town.

Hmm ! it might be a bit crowded - from today till next Friday is the Avan Club AGM - a couple of 100 little 'pointy tops' in town !

And, no I'm not one of them, I'm still in Brissie at the moment.

Looks quite funny driving past the CP too :) Am listening to ABC interviews about it - town is very happy. Lots eating out etc so good for Longreach. Were 150 Trakmaster vans at tiny Thargomindah a couple of weeks ago also. Lucky there is another $20 council CP there- small but with great facilities
