Looking at portable foldable 12v solar panels last week. The brand name panels (eg. Waeco, Projecta) from Van shops & chain stores appear expensive compared with stuff from eBay. Anyone out there using eBay sourced panels successfully (eg. Macht, Megavolt, Maxray)?

Hi Spydermann, These people are on Ebay and also have a shop in Preston. I have used them a couple of times and have been very happy. Hope this helps. Landy

Hi
Just be cautious with any Ebay panels
Confirm that they have a rated" peak power point" around 17V & open circuit around 21V, do not just ask for 12V panels
Hi Spydy, I bought my folding 120w from Eco_online and am very happy with them. The panels are quite solid and heavier than I thought they would be. I left the standard regulator on the left panel for trickle charging and tapped into the box on the other side of the panel for full voltage thru to my Redarc to charge my batteries. I use the 1220 low voltage Redarc MPPT?charger ... so as long as I get over 9v it puts charge into the battery.
Put this as a link but doesn't seem to do anything so you may need to cut and paste http://www.ecoonline.com.au/online-store/solar-battery-charging
