Hi, this is only my second post so a quick intro. We are Scott, Danielle & Declan with a combined age of 83. We recently decided on an adventure before Declan starts school so I quit Corporate life, we ordered a van and now we need a rig to tow it.
After exploring the Dual cab ute scene I've decided I want a much heavier tow vehicle (van will be 3000KG when loaded). So we'll be buying a new LC 200 or Disco. So based on experiences which way should we go?
I am a pom so Disco tugs at my heart strings, however I hear horror stories of warranty, lack of dealers once outside of capital cities etc. My wifes family all tow with Prados or 200's and they love them! So please help.....Oh and I will be wanting to off road also (without the van)
Welcome to the gang Mr G and co, enjoy here and out in the playground.
Your choice of tug is just that really, YOUR CHOICE. Everyone has their idea of the perfect tug for their situation. I chose the Colorado as it suits my needs and just love it.
Keep Safe out there.

As Dougwe says the choice is personal preference but I would want to get something for which spares are available at every corner shop. With this in mind am selling my Jeep Grand Cherokee and buying either a Patrol or Toyota although Ford and Holden are still options. Shame coz I like the Jeep even if it is a thirsty beast.

Go with the 200, plenty of parts (you wont need them) around oz. They are a workhorse. The Disco can have electronic problems and you don't want that halfway across the Nulla
