Hi to all. I am just doing a few things to my hiace van, and planning to set off on my first "adventure" during september. I'll be leaving brissy late august and having a few days in Bundy first. No set plans, wherever the wheels roll. Maybe central/west qld. Any suggestions or tips or meet ups would be appreciated as it can seem a bit daunting for the first time. thanks for reading and cheers.
Welcome to the gang justme, enjoy here and out in the playground.
I'm currently in Townsville until mid September at this stage then heading back south to mexico but not sure what way I will be going yet. If you find yourself in this area yell out.

Two things, if you need to get stuff for your MH there is a company called "Caseys" in Bundaberg. Steptoe Street. Good prices for stuff for your van and great to have any work done. They have done a few jobs for me over the last few years. Supplying and fitting aircon. and repairing my water heater. The water heater I thought was stuffed but they supplied a part to repair it, despite me having ordered a complete new unit. The part was $29 and they charged me $60 all up. Could have made their money and done the whole change but I was impressed with them repairing my unit instead.
The other thing is there is a 24 hour camping place on the Bundaberg to Gin _ Gin road called Sharon Gorge if you need a place to stay. Toilets there and popular with the Fruit picking mob but if you are there early PM you should find a spot if needed. Supposed to be 24 Hr only but I don't think the police it too strictly.
Hi Justme, welcome to the nomadic life. I am currently in Darwin but heading back to Queensland hopefully tomorrow. Not sure which way I will go after Mt Isa. You never know we might end up in the same camp ground somewhere. Cheers Colleen
