First time under a hard top

Hi all.

weve been out and about in camper trailer for a while and with a 3month trip coming up soon we decided to move up to a caravan for a number of reasons.

primarily setting up and packing the trailer up every day gets tedious after a while and a lot more comfort and convenience wont hurt.

So we ordered a Crusader Muskateer 19' which will pick up in a few weeks. Looking forward to that and getting on the road.

We plan a short trip for a couple of days somewhere in SEQ as a shakedown cruise to sort out what extra bits we need before heading off to Vic and SA until christmas.

hopefully meet some of you in our travels,

cheers,

Welcome to the gang crusader1, enjoy here and out in the playground.

All sounds like a plan there to me, hope all goes well. I am in Townsville at the moment and will be leaving here 2/9 heading south down the coast into VIC. We might cross paths out there somewhere.

So picked up the new van last week. Loaded it up and went out for a couple of nights to try it out. Spent a night at Atkinsons Dam and a night at Laidley showgrounds. We really enjoyed the difference after having the camper trailer. We arrived at Laidley the same time as a camper trailer and
had setup, had lunch and were busy sitting with our feet up while the camper was atill setting up. Dont miss that. Much more relaxing in the van so we are really glad we decided to get it before we head off in a couple of weeks

Well after 6 weeks on the road we are loving touring in the van. We did a run from Toowoomba down to

melbourne in 4 days to maximise our time furtherest away from home. The last month or more we have been on the road in Tassie, have seen some fantastic scenery and stayed a lot longer than we would have been able to do otherwise. Still a couple of weeks to go and wishing it was a lot longer.

After we get back to the mainland we will travel the great ocean road possibly as far as Adelaide then back home at the end of November.

starting to think we should have started this a long time ago.
