The on going ute saga:) Still in the garage. New rear springs, new front springs, front brakes to be machined..... wont know myself when it is all done. I think I was lucky to stumble into the right garage - young Nissan owner, who tows a caravan and who actually CARES!!!! He took me under the hoist and showed me what the front springs etc looked like, then showed me what they should look like. Pointed out that the seal on the gear box is starting to leak and should be done at the next service. Well she thinks - why not now??? Will save me rocking up to another unknown garage in another unknown town to get it done.
So - have their courtesy car, and will camp at the lagoon until all the work finished tomorrow. Going to cost a bit but after 3 years of constant towing and intending to do another 3 years at least I know things are in good nick now. Clutch done a few months ago. After all - how much a year to rent a house, pay for power, water, rates etc.... and be stuck in one place....
My friends have moved on so will catch up with them in a few days.
