I've been doing a fair bit of research on these and Isuzu's as I'm in the planning stage of a conversion. These trucks are very popular as a base vehicle due to their toughness, but they do need a fair bit of work on suspension and possibly seating to get them even part comfortable to drive any distance in.

Most are rated to 6 ton but can be de-rated to 4.5t, so can be driven on a car license. I currently have the Isuzu NPR250 2x4 and wish I'd bought the 4X4 many times !

My new build will be a 4x4, they are reasonably cheap to run, not much more fuel than a landcruiser towing, super reliable and parts are reasonable and available everywhere.

Don't kid yourself that you can make these vehicles a practical bush vehicle and remain under 4.5T.
You will fail.
It is also important to know what suspension this particular vehicle has. All Terrain do some excellent parabolic spring conversions, but if it is not done, it will cost some big $$$s.
This vehicle seems to have a singles conversion too, which is good. They tend to fit 285/70R19.5 tyres. I would recommend one size larger - 305/70R19.5 as a better choice. The rims are 8.25" wide which are fine for the 305s.

Converting to a camper could cost $30 to $70k more after you have the vehicle. The base vehicle is good for that, but a bus body is far from ideal.
