snapped Patella Tendon

Obviously can't hack looking after a 3 yr old and 1 yr old for 8 days .

their parents were in Fiji for a Wedding.

On the day their parents arrived home.

I was walking to the front door when my knee snapped.

Nearly dropped me to the floor and  the pain was excrutiating.

X-ray later and knee is still in one piece, although full of arthritis.

4 day wait for an Ultrasound. Doc suspects snapped Patella Tendon

Sounds painful - I have a "dicky knee" from playing racquetball - I can walk up stairs no problem, but walking down them sometimes is another problem, often have to walk sideways, and the swelling takes ages to subside. Hope it can be fixed - in the meantime, try attaching a magnet to the spot, can help.

How are those twins of yours going?

Yeh, I had a Total Knee Replacement back in 2006, and now it gives me a lot of curry if I don't have a knee bandage on. It seems that holding the Knee Cap tight up against my knee and no probs. With out the Knee bandage it is continuous pain. I don't know if they gave me a new metal Knee Cap, or used the original.

Anybody else relate to this?

Simmo.

Sorry to hear about the knee, Kathy, hope Dave is looking after you and it doesn't affect any travel plans. Glad to hear the twins are doing well.

Cheers
Joe

Thanks Mr rocket n strop.

Apparently this Pre Patella Bursitis is aggravated by the Osteo Arthritis in my knee.

Gotta lose weight and do excersises

Great news - I have bursitis in my right knee, and the only thing I have trouble with is stairs, coming down more than going up.
