re: travelling in Tasmania

I want to now go from Adelaide to Melbourne and take my van on the Spirit of Tasmania.  I am not very confident driving in lots of traffic , but want to take a bout 6 weeks driving one end to the other.  Would like to go up to Cradle Mountain and then have intentions of going to a few Auctions all of the place.  Need to make some money when I get back to Adelaide.  Have many friends in the Antique business here.  Any suggestions re free camping etc.

I now a have a winnebago huntsman, shower, toilet etc. except the mileage is around 225,000, else everything has been checked out on the vehicle and expect no problems (hopefully).

Any suggestions, help, ideas welcome, also wht is a good Insurance Company to Insure with.

Sometimes I get my ambitions mixed up with my capabilited lol.

Helen

There are numerous places in Tassie to stay at, either free camping or Caravan Parks, National Parks. Suggest you buy a copy of Camps 8.

For Insurance, I suggest CIL.

Not familiar with Auctions in Hobart but in Launceston, Armitage Auctions & Tulloch. Search them on Google for dates.

Adreamer be very aware of the advice Jules has given.I came here twice, the return journey has only been made once. That was 15 years ago.

I'm still enjoying the place.

Enjoy your journey.
