I know your pain too John. I am here with Colleen at her base in Bingara NSW, helping set the place up and digging out millions of darn bindis. I have some work to do on my van too but that will wait till it cools down a bit. We will be doing a few weeks trip in April/May to Yepoon to get Colleen's car and bring back, and planning a trip to Tassie for a few months. In the meantime trying to save as well. Cheers mate...Sarg.
Good read again John, Yeah I'm also am getting restless, been in one place now for nearly 2 months, waiting for my Freezer to get fixed & was planning to head out via Greens Lake next week until I looked at the weather forecast up there. Unless it changes I'll stay here in Geelong where it's predicted to be cooler ( maybe. )

Just a quick thought - the way you've got the bus parked in the carport is the wrong way around. You're wasting about half a metre of valuable roof cover to protect a toolbox ?
Park the other way in - you'll get about half a metre more of the bus protected - if it does hail, then you'll only get some damage around the back of the bus, and hail on the toolbox of course - a toolbox is easy to replace, but major hail damage to the front of the bus is harder and more expensive to fix - just a thought !!!

Wondering about ShortNorth ? - Short North is the railwayman's nickname for the NSWGR main line between Sydney and Newcastle
Thanks for the comments. We have plans to camp a couple of times before the month end and I hope to visit Paul my van whilst June is in Deception Bay. As well as that I have my 6 monthly checkups with the doctor and eye specialist so I won't have time to be bored.
If the bus is driven and not backed in the antennas prove to present problems but thanks for the thought Shortnorth, I did that and had to tie them down to get out.
yeoeleven , whilst up on the GC did you happen to eat at DeVitto's on the Water...it is a magic evening, the chef is a big Italian , cooks your meal in full view behind a perspect shield, then when things quieten down out he strolls plonks his butt at grand piano and he sings then his stunning partner joins him and not a noise could be heard in any of the three levels...the prices weren't steep either, dolphins played as we ate on the water edge level..it is just over that big spanning bridge...Salty
