If you have enough battery and solar DC is most efficient in my humble opinion but others may chose to differ

When ?? all the time or when driving or when plugged into the power or when free camping ?? The answer would be different in different circumstances and depend on your 12v DC setup.
Depends a lot on the type of fridge too. If AC is available, you might as well use AC, if not and it's not a 3 way fridge (ie it won't run on gas) then you'll have to use DC. But if it's a 3 way fridge it's going to chew up lots of battery on DC.

Again, a question with insufficient information. What is the make and model of your fridge?
My guess you have an absorption if you are talking of both AC and DC. If it is an absorption fridge then you should never use it on the battery alone. You should only run it on the 12 V system when the tugs alternator is charging the system.

Woody's right ,I've a 230Litre DC fridge never had a issue & compressor fridge in my opinion are the best as long as you have solar . We spend a lot of time free camping so our gas reverse last . Regards Ron D

In your case you're better off running on DC, if it's a DC only fridge. But I'd reverse the gas first, others may have a different view...

Yes, but who runs an additional fan with a compressor fridge. The only fridges I have seen in the past where fans were installed were absorption models.
At any rate, I don't think the OP (original poster) is particularly wanting an answer, he has not come back with a clarification.
