I'd forget a caravan rooftop model and look at a domestic reverse cycle air con. We went through this exercise 16 mths ago and after sacrificing 2 overhead cupboards and the generator box on the rear bumper we couldn't be happier with our new air con - total cost $1600 - a quiet and very efficient option

Exactly what we are doing. We have a new Jayco on order & have specified that there is NO air/con. I will be fitting a domestic split system, probably a panasonic after delivery.
Hey Villas, what size a/c did you fit? I am considering either a 2.5kw or 3.5kw. same physical size & weight & only $100 difference in price. I don't want to be underpowered but overpower is not good either.
Cheers Neil
