Running caravan lights from12V system

I have had two different answers from auto electricians for this question. Can anyone help?

Our caravan does not have a wiring harness for 12V battery. I've installed a battery with solar panel. Is it possible to run a wire from the battery to the caravan 7 pin input connected through the auxiliary pin with an inline fuse to run the lights?

I don't know how easy it would be to run it directly into the wiring system of the caravan and I don't feel capable of doing that work myself.

If you want to keep it simple, get a 7 pin socket & attach it to the drawbar in a location so you can put the plug in it when you remove the plug from the car. Run your fused positive & negative cable to the socket on the drawbar. This way you don't have to tap into the vans wiring. Cheers Pete

If the van had the 12 volt wiring inplace then " Wasn me" has the simplest answer . I run my 12volt system the same way avoiding the tug battery altogether . I wasn't sure from the post if the van has the dual system
