Hi I am having injections into eye at present. So far I have had 2 at great expense ($550) each time. I am presently trying to get out of the private system into public system for treatment. If you are having your treatments via public system maybe as you have an injection & they tell you when next is due you could phone ahead to where you expect to be then. Hope injections are working well for you. I had a black circle when looking with left eye. After first injection this black circle turned to grey. Now after 2nd injection it is only a slight blurry spot a bit like I need to clean my glasses. All the best Alice

Good to see you got in early enough to make a dent in it.  My sister has to fly each month from Port Lincoln to Adelaide to get both eyes done.  She has been going now for a few years & there is no end in sight (oops lol).  She has the Wet Macula.

My mother developed it too at around 90 years of age but hated the needles so much she chose to see (oops again) her life out without them.  By her demise last year at 96 she was virtually blind.

Due to the family connection I get checked regularly now.

Cheers Neil

<edit> ps, I do get the sensation that my glasses need cleaning too, so far cleaning them eases that lol.

We're also heading off shortly to NT and WA And my wife needs monthly eye injections.it appears that ophthalmologists  are scarce in those parts of the country but spoke to a practice in Darwin who advised us it's not unusual for travellers to do this. The only concern we have is if we can cover the distances between specialists in a month.
