We have decided to do it again.. so much the same as previous gt's. Reasonably self contained. We have water and one external loo but NO power so solar, battery, torch or genny is the go for your lights. Weather permitting..if it isnt raining!!..campfire/cooking fire if that is your thing. Come for the weekend or longer. Community tea one night..everyone bring a plate preferably with food on it!! We have a kitchen that can be used by all. Bbq. Plenty of crockery/cutlery etc. Kettle is on most of the day and if it isnt by the time it has boiled you will have others joining you!! Bikkie tins will be full.
We are only 70 kms north of Perth so you can park up here and play tourist and for the perthites it is close enough to come for the weekend.
Hope some can make it. Ps it is a long weekend in WA.
Best place for a get together - fantastic hosts, good company, plenty of room. As Sue says, great for touring around, last year, we drove to New Norcia for the day, as a group, lunch at the pub, great spot to see. If you are lucky you will see the WA Christmas trees in full colour, spectacular sight, along with grass trees, banksias and lots more. Fish and chips from Seabird store are a treat, as is a meal at the pub.
Good shopping at Clarkson, Yanchep and many other centres between Seabird and Perth.
Head on over, private message Sue and Phill for address etc. guarantee a good time will be had by all.

Hi Sue, Phil & Tracey, after a great time last year it would be good to catch up with the great people that turned up, but alas I am in far north queensland, hope you have a great get together Rod
That was 12 months ago Jules!! No idea how long you stayed.
It is also the start of the school holidays so if you want to be off the road you are welcome to stay here. Close enough to Perth for day trips, go to Pinnacles, New Norcia and plenty of other places close by.
And we love pets!! (they can be let off their leads ,dig holes, chase bunnies and generally do whatever dogs do... I am sure they could probably even find something dead to roll in!!) Will post the details
Think there is also our local fireworks night on Sunday night.. Always a good night out and it is over and we are home by 8.30pm.
95% sure we'll be there, but what about the rest of you?
Been reading up on past gatherings, quite a party.
We're self contained, just need a dump point and a thirsty tree ( for grey water) not to pee against!
Hi Rod, we'll be leaving Darwin this Tuesday making our way across towards Tully. If you're staying up that way for a while it would be good to catch up.
Sorry, Sue, even though you lot are like family we have only made it as far as Darwin on our way east so unable to scoff your cooking this time around. Make no mistake, we will be back sometime.
We aren't picky!! Campervan ,tent, caravan or even mobile homes are welcome. We had people from a couple of forums last year plus some who heard about it on the grapevine when they were freecamping up north and turned up. So by all means bring your mates.
Our local fireworks night will be held on the Sunday (25th). There is a massive big bonfire so anyone can bring a guy to put on it. (there are prizes awarded for best guy etc.. something exotic like a box of choccies!!Maybe we can do a couple of Oldies sitting in chairs around the campfire to represent the caravanning fraternity). Entertainment of some sort.. usually a band .. country, 60's and easy listening, and dancing for those who wish to do so on the grass, (folk, bootscooting etc) . Icecream and coffee truck and sausage sizzle and hamburger teas are available. BYO booze. Gates open about 4pm and the fireworks start around 7.30. we are home by 8.30 so not a late night. Committee haven't said what the gate price will be this year. The crowds get bigger every year. When we went to the first one about 10 years ago there was about 200 people ,last year there was over 1000 people. We tend to get there around 4.30 and set up a site, take a few nibblies and drinks and just sit around and chat!! (we are good at that!!) Bring a chair to sit on.
Also on Sunday at the next little subdivision is a local restored cars display and a craft display. All work done by locals and on Monday they continue the display day but add a car boot sale in as well.
Hi Sufil, This is slightly off topic. I just wondered if Seabird has any powered sites or just the ensuite facilities. I was looking for a first stop after the stressful drive through Perth and have stopped off at Guilderton tonight and tomorrow as I ran out of light. When I stayed at Seabird 20 years ago it seemed to be only onsite caravans and park homes. Is it still like that or do you have any sites for travellers.
Hi Diane , Have PM'ed you.
We are on a 5 acre rural residential block 1/2 way between Guildo and Seabird (about 12 kms). You are more than welcome to stop in here if you wish.
