Hi, Just joined up today. (Not sure if this is the right place to post an introduction.) I'm just about to set off on my first longish holiday, heading off a week from today. I'm going North in WA and as its my first retirement holiday, time is not an issue. My laptop will be going with me, so I'm hoping to keep visiting this site along the way. Feeling a bit of trepidation as its been a while since the last long trip. On this trip I'll mostly be staying in caravan parks although I'm open to short stays in Freecamps or national parks. If anyone has any recommended places to stay, your advice will be greatly appreciated.
Welcome to the gang newhorizons, enjoy here and out in the playground. This is the introduction section of this great forum so you have made a good start. Enjoy the 'wild west' :)
Keep Safe on the roads.

Welcome and enjoy your travels. Wikicamps is recommended by many on this site and you can put this on your laptop. If you like a printed book get Camps 8. It tells you of lots of free/cheaper camps. We used the Camps 8 book when we were over in the west last year as we didn't have Wikicamps. Stop and have a chat and look around tourist information centres for loads of information on what to see and where to stay. At this time of the year there are plenty of people travelling so have a chat with them too. Lots of friendly people and information out there. Once again enjoy.
