Grey water tank

Hi I'm thinking about having a grey water tank fitted to our van.

We have 3×95liter water tanks at present , 2 for shower ect. 1 for drinking (filtered).

What I was thinking is to reduce the drinking water to 65 liters and put a 95 liter gray tank on.

I've heard that you can get some unwanted odours with the grey water tanks.

If so what is the best way to overcome this problem?

Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers Owen.

We just add some percarbonate of soda . The main ingrediabt in Nappi San. Ours is pro fitted . ( Winebago) it has vent through above roof., As with black water tank . What we use at night is some coconut oil used for sunscreen . Add that also to sink & toilet overnight . My theory is it sits on top and seals .. Get wise as you get older !! Hopefully !!

I have seen on one of the caravan internet sites that you can buy a non-return type valve to put into the line to the tank that stops the odour, sorry cant point you to the site.

Gday...

I would suggest Vince is referring to the Hepvo Valve -

Thanks for your input guys.

The Hepvo Valve looks like a great idea, combined with AK's advice I should have no problems.

Thanks again.

Cheers Owen.

I think if I have a Hepvo Valve fitted to sink and shower plus use some "percarbonate of soda" should do the job.

Once again thanks.

Cheers Owen.
