Hello out there First post for me After a bit of advice regarding camec four seasons installation on 97 toyota coaster Roof has 2 small raised ribs (approx 10mm high x 75 mm wide) spaced 400mm apart The hatch is 660mm wide so do I need an extra seal (other than standard issue) to instal over these ribs. Havnt purchased yet but still weighing up options. Also any advice on internal trim size 40mm,50mm,60mm and correct method of supporting roof lining. Any thoughts appreciated.
First off we have had one fitted to our caravan and really enjoy having it there, well worth the expence and very practical to help with ventilation.
Had it done by a caravan repairer. I wandered outside to the caravan and had look see it, appears to have bead of sealant on a near flat roof. Other then that can't see much else.
Looks like it has always there, So I am not much help to you.
Bit of information in this add https://camec.com/four-sesons-hatch-with-tape-cut-hole-size-660x660mm.html Two documents in PDF at bottom of instructions. Hope it helps.

Just make sure there isn't a roof rail under that seam
Otherwise I'd just make up two more same size longitudinally
and mount the hatch on the then fully raised section.
I'd epoxy them rather than screwing holes in roof.
Sealed timber battens will do, giving a good wide support base
all round the hatch.
If there is a roof rail. there are other smaller hatches avail.
Hi gbh,
I don't have a Coaster, but a Hino RB145. I have measured the ceiling cavity on the Hino at 60 mm. When I fitted my roof vent I used timber infills around the perimeter of the hatch which were glued in place with an adhesive such as Sika Flex or in my case I used Loktight Terostat ( white ). As this was drying I used props to hold ceiling lining to infill and infill to underside of metal roof. The props were made from lengths of 45 x 19mm with a top section forming a " T " and cut slightly longer than neat measurement.
I hope this helps.
Thanks guys still waiting to hear from camec as to whether i need a thicker tape/seal to bridge the 10 mm ribs Thanks for the tip about roof rail Looks like 700mm between them judging by spot welds in roof.
