Tele problems.

Our 2014 Jayco StarCraft Outback came with the wind up "winegard" antenna and 12 volt sphere tv. The van is new to us and after 2 weeks on the road we haven't had continuous reception for more that 30 minutes.

The tele shuts of with the red light still on, by switching off the power and the little green light we can regain reception.reception is

excellent on a vast number of channels.

To date attempts to restart  have blown 4 fuses.

Thinking we may have faulty wiring

Any advice from the masses,

Graeme

Get hold of a normal antenna and plug it in back of tele.
with TV power plug straight into wall socket.
It works well.
Dump the wineguard.

Never had one myself but heard lots of complaints over the yrs.

You want 100% (mostly) reception
Go Sat.

Had similar problem with ours - turned out it was the actual plug that fits into the lighter socket had faulty spring on center-pin - replaced plug no further problem - Just ensure your new plug has fuse in it.

Sounds like a fault in the TVs powersupply shuting its self down especialy if its blowing fuses. If its not under warranty ditch it & just get another TV. They aren't worth repairing as its cheaper to get a new one.
