Introduction

Hi we are Sonja (Son) and Lew,

We have just started our journey in June 2016. Left the Sunny Coast and are currently in Karumba, waiting for a neighbour to arrive in his helicopter. He is taking us on a joy flight over the area, feeling pretty special.

Anyway, I log on now and again and always find some interesting reading and have a question I was hoping someone may be able to answer.

From Karumba we will head to Burketown and then to the Roper River, I see on the map a road that goes from Balbirini to Roper Bar. We were expecting to go to Three ways then Mataranka and into The Roper River but was just wondering if anyone knows how accessible or not the other road is?, (the one through Limmen National Park.

We are driving our Mazda BT50 with boat on top and towing our Roadstar caravan.

Thoroughly enjoying travelling and meeting so many good people, think we might stick at it for a while.

Cheers, Lew and Son
