Steep driveway

Hi all

We have an adria 662up caravan and a steep driveway. My husband has to build a ramp every time we take the van out or bring it home. He has been doing this for about five years now and the ramp is getting to heavy for him. I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on a light weight alternative.

Thanks

Welcome to the gang Gabby101, enjoy her and out in the playground.

I'm guessing you mean where the drive meets the road surface?

Are you able to get a metal one made up with a gap under for the water to flow under and just leve there?

It's hard to comment without seeing a picture of the driveway and ramp ,my neighbour has a steep drive into his garage and had a steel set of ramps made and leaves them there permanently.

If its in a position where the above is not possible have something made up in alluminium it's very strong and light if its braced well...

Hello Gabby 101

As Dougwe has already said
Welcome to the forum

Not a steep driveway, but something similar
My dear old Mother-in-law
Had a very high kerb at her driveway.

She asked and received permission from the local council, to fill in the gap with concrete

Gotta be careful putting things in or across the gutters in Brisbane.  Big fines & costs from council as one of our neighbours found out.

You'd need to get approval.

As has been mentioned, a photo would help.

Reinforced aluminium planks might be the go.  Modified painters' planks?
