The new operating system is available, goto Settings, General, Software Update, BUT it is 1gb in size, so make sure you are on free wifi or home broadband before accepting the update. It is not available for all devices, iPhone 5 upwards, iPad mini 2 upwards.
Have done an iPhone 6 & an iPad mini - so far so good. Yesterday's installation issues were quickly remedied by Apple.

Macka17 love my Iphone and Ipad Just updating my Iphone now thanks for the info Op. I'm at home with 300 gig to play with so not an issue but if you were on wireless it would be a different kettle of fish. It really makes the 16 gig base phones and Ipads look a bit puny in the memory stakes, Both mine are 64 gig glad I went down that path.
I remember when Microsoft word, Excel came on floppy discs now we have bloatware when you need a 4.5Gig dvd to do an install of Office. And you still only write a letter or do calcs that 90% of the population could still do with the original versions.
I must say Win 10 has been nearly flawless on my desktop, A long way forward from dos 5 when I started out on computers.
I luv my iPhone 6 however I hate the new IOS10 update and so do many people I speak too,
There is lots of new stuff to learn. lots of pop up stuff that I cannot stand.
