Red foot levelling systems

Sorry Vaughan I don't know anything about them, infact, I have never seen them but I do like the look of them and see no reason why they wouldn't work. Do you know any suppliers here in OZ. That video was from the US of A. Good though.

Ian Grant Caravans, Gippsland have same or similar, good quality. Checked with Alko suspension, they seemed to think all good as well. cheers Craig

I am currently fitting them to my bus at present.

Found the company to be very friendly, was able to do a good deal and am very happy with the quality of what has been delivered.
It's a bit slow going as I am not well lately, but am doing it but by bit.

I paid $5460 delivered for the complete kit. The asking price was over 7k to start with, but was able to do a deal.
It's the biggest kit they make as I wanted a 24v system, I also upgraded to 24" rams to give more versatility and the ability to jack the bus off the ground to change tyres.

Doing some welding up of brackets at present, steel and bolts about $200.

Will post some pics later as i get it done.

Vaughan, you made the mistake of linking us to the home page of the supplier. Replies seem to indicate some confusion. You mentioned "red foot" in the heading. Is this the article what you are referring to?

Hi Vaughan

I made my own system. I call it 4x4 i place a piece of 4x4 timber under the wheel that needs to be adjusted and just drive forward as required. works for us cheers

Hi Vaughan,
We have them on our Motorhome , installed by the dealer , as our Motorhome was a show special optioned up. Not sure what they cost .
Pros - don't need a jack , will lift motorhome completely off the ground . Auto level is only a guide, sometimes it lifts you too high , so manual levelling has to be used to tweak it and lower it.
Cons - always aware of how low they hang down in the up position , haven't caught anything with them yet and it will go over most speed bumps in CP's . Had 2 issues that were fixed by them , hydraulic leak and replaced sensor after 12 mths. I suppose there handy but I don't know if I would put them on again especially if they cost the amounts that have been mentioned. I found them good to deal with until the sensor went and they wanted to charge me $220 for a new one but they came to the party.

I can't see what's so hard about driving or backing onto a set of chocks or blocks that cost absolutely nothing .I suppose there must be a sensible reason for such an outlay of cash.

That's the reason I went with the longer rams, they can sit up higher and still have the travel to do the same job, in fact mine will be level with the bottom of the body, so shouldn't catch on anything. The $100 extra is well worth it I reckon.
