12V power supply for a fridge

I wrote a bit about fixing a Waeko CF40 and my wish to have this when the Princess and I cross the Nullarbor, We have a tent and the things needed for a rough night, but the Princess likes a shower and other comforts of life. So all is for emergency only.      Its motel stops wherever possible.  Anyways the CF40 I will have doesnt have a 240V power supply. Sure you can get them on line but there is a huge source of supplies out there for free and thats what I made.

An old desktop computer I had in the garage did nicely. I pulled the supply out of that. You now cut off all the plugs and separate the wires to their colours and bunch them up. Save the yellows, the blacks and the green, the rest chop off inside the box separate 1 black and the green.  Now I fitted a switch to the box and hooked these to it as green is the power supply start up lead.  Joining them would just make it plug in for power on.  The yellows are +12V and the blacks are neutral.  Fitted all those to an Anderson plug and Ive got a well-protected, very stable 12V 10A power supply.    Rob
