As you can see we own a Jayco Starcraft 20 footer.
One day I was sitting, minding my own business, when all power went out. The RCBO went out and there was no way it would reset.
Long story short... After pulling apart most of the caravan's electrics (240V.. remember Im an electrician so dont do this on your own) I found that the kitchen sink had not been sealed correctly (yay for Jayco) and the water had dribbled into the NOT waterproof connectors under the sink. I re wired the whole van with lots of IPX7 sealed jboxes and sealant.
Lesson here is take a peek UNDER the sink and wet areas (with 240 main OFF!!!) and see if there are any electrical connectors. If so get some self sealing tape from a hardware shop (not cheap OR plain electrical tape) and wrap the whole assembly tight. This action "SHOULD" prevent any issues. Make sure the tape is a good seal.
The tape is often called repair tape or self conforming tape. I DO NOT advocate drowning the lot in silastic as some of those products have an acidic hardening agent and will corrode the contacts.. Even the so called neutral cure is questionable IMHO.
Take care and make sure you turn OFF all the 240 before sticking your nut and paws under the sink. If the connectors are looking a little green or are wet get an ELECTRICIAN to take a look and remedy. That may cost but its better than being dead. Even better make the caravan dealer fix it, as its NOT fit for purpose under Australian Consumer Law.

I don't have a Jayco, but gee it's great that you're on the ball and let others know about this potentially dangerous situation.
Makes you wonder how good Jayco's guality control (if it exists ). There have been so many people on this forum with complaints regarding Jayco's quality control makes you wonder.
Cheers

Thanks folks, love the pic AK, thats not as silly as it looks. Seen a few houses with similar issues. Bad Planning.
Owen, your comments on Jayco are pretty much on the ball, they want us to be their QC and fix any stuff under warantee. All be it a pain in the bum they are good with that.
Cheers again
