Hi all I am about to drive my Toyota van from Perth to Brisbane via the Nullarbor later this month ( October). I will be camping with basic gear. I have done several trips accrosss Australia in the past so nothing new to me.Wondering if i can meet up with other members along the way or even take someone along for company. Diana

Hello Finky

May I be one of the first to welcome you to the forum

If anyone is going over at that time, then I hope they contact you for a bit of company

I shall be going across from the west to the Tamworth area, but not until after Christmas

I hope that you have a good and enjoyable trip

G'day Finky (Diana), and welcome to the forum.  You'll find lots of advise and good folks on here.  I live in Perth so I'm already here :)

Hi mate - welcome. I'm going across. It'll be nice a slow for me though. I am on my way now but disaster struck today and I had to turn back for some repairs. Here I sit in a hotel room tonight. First time out of van in nearly 6 years . I'll be stopping a bit short of Brisbane though (hate cities) - so.....I'll be out there some time in that timeframe - I was going to be zig zagging and leaving thru Hyden - but today's events might see me going a more direct route now. I'm a chick. Travel with car and van though.

Cheers

Rob

No worries....I'm hoping to spend as much time as I can on the nullabor itself. Water be my biggest bugbear. So I'll be somewhere. I've done the crossing probably 150 times but mostly always rushed in my opinion. Love it out there.
Surely no more dramas for me lol. I was also robbed yesterday too - so by the time my fridge started playing up I was about ready to book into a nursing home and sit in a rocking chair for the next 40 years lol.

Oh bugger, you are having a tough trot. I'll chuck extra water in just in case.
