Domestic vacuum flush toilet VT2500

Production of this model has been discontinued. Has anyone found a compatible alternative for bathroom and cassette spaces without major renovations? Thanks

Just a suggestion , try the welcome area , say gday and introduce yourself , then ask your question . You will get a much better response.

Hi Gray ,welcome to the forum we had VT2500 in our M/H and it caused me heaps of grief so i got rid of it and had a Dometic CTS 4110 installed.

The VT2500 is really great when it's working properly ,but when it's not it is headache material and that's why i changed it over

Not sure what type of M/H you have but i have a Winnie Longreach and we had plenty of room for the fit.The people who don the fit done a beautiful job.

Can't give info on the Dometic vacuum one but I wouldn't fit a Dometic replacement either, we have just removed our CTS4110 and took it to the dump where they belong IMO.

Fitted the new Thetford ceramic bowl toilet and compared to the Dometic rubbish it's like chalk and cheese !

Even the toilet lid on the Thetford feels like a proper lid, not some sort of polythene tupperware plastic like the dometic.

We put up with the Dometic for 4 years ! leaks constantly, 2 new slides under warranty, 2 new bowl seals not under warranty and still leaks persisted.

The final straw was after one last leak, the internal design of the cassette housing on the bottom where the leak contents end up is not flat, it's all moldings so is virtually impossible to clean properly.

The Thetford is flat inside the enclosure,so if it did leak it is dead easy to wipe out. Do yourself a favor and check them both out side by side, as I said the Thetford is far better quality, design and build, again just my opinion but we've had both.

Thank you for all this info. We've decided not to buy the preloved motorhome with the vacuum flush toilet and will avoid that model in future .
