A short introduction

I have been an avid reader of the forum for quite some time.  As my retirement approaches in a few months I thought it was time to register and say hello. I intend to be a solo traveller and with my DMax will tow an 18.6 Zone RV off road van. (my retirement present to me). For my maiden adventure I hope to go to Birdsville for the big Red Bash and hang around until the races. After that then Australia will be my garden.  I think I have sorted most things out but I am sure there will be more.  The most liberating thing was selling up and giving away most of my belongings to family and friends.  I have my memories on my computer and anything else is clutter.  My children are in Victoria so in time that will be my base for short periods.  I will travel and free camp as much as possible and when i fancy a change move on to the next no time frame or appointments to be kept. I hope to go where only a few get to and just meet wonderful people who have their own story to tell.  See you on the road to somewhere in 2017
