SOLO FEMALES

I was just reading an old posting where all the solo females had posted re their travels or hoping to travel.

If any of you are still around I am thinking of getting a group together for some meet up's.

Just in thinking stage at the moment so all suggestions/ideas welcome.

Message me on my white board if you want.

I am in SA but can plan ahead especially for after Christmas.

Helen

I set up a Solo lady caravanners group on Meetup in Perth last April. We now have 80 members so there is certainly some interest.

Yes, I know there is a lot of interest out there.  I suggested they have a forum on here for it but know one seems interested.

We will see what happens this time around.

I am going to contact the webmaster again.

I am also a member of Rolling Solos, they are really helpful and I haven't come across any nastiness like some other female sites.

I am a member of Rolling Solo Australia as well Helen.
Lots of help and advice comes from other members on that site.
Adreamer. What are you wanting a forum for exactly please? This solos section is for solos of both men and women.
Just a matter of putting up what concerns you and others will reply.

It appears to be difficult to join Rollin solo. I don't belong to Facebook and I have no idea as to why Rollin solo require the amount of personal information that they request. I trust this site and it would be great if they had a group for females as it appears that there are A few of us interested.

I agree with the above and was very hesitant to prove my personal details to a site that could on sell these details to anyone.

Womabt54 if you can take this further let me know as I have tried and then got flack!!  I think the word 'discrimination' has too much convenience to it!!

Hey Janno! I also have a slide on camper! What type of awning do you have on yours?

Ruth if I didn't have my slide on I would have the Avan Cruiserliner. My Sister has one, it's perfect for a solo woman!

Hi Rooney,

Gave up on just 'female solo's' and now have a post where I hope to do a meet up (for anyone really) down at a place called Rapid Bay SA and then hopefully a few more places during the year.  Might even get over to WA sometime.  (have a look at my posting on Meet Ups.)

Keep in touch

Helen

I'm returning to full time study in 2017 so I may not  able to join at any camps this year - depends on timetable.

But after these studies, I'm planning to travel a lot more.

cheers

Pamela

Hi Pamela,  Good luck with your studies.

If you wanted to do a week-end in Victoria you can ask on here and maybe some people will come along.

If it's anywhere near Ballarat or inland I would go.

Cheers

Helen

i know Ballarat well as I worked there for sometime awhile ago.

You are on the right side of town for a joint trip - I will know more after 6 Feb, the start date for my studies.

i will keep in touch with you and any like minded solos via this Forum.

cheers

Pamela

Just spotted this thread and noticed the suggestion to join the FB group 'Rolling Solo'. Ive sent a Join Request but one of their rules is that you have a pic of yourself on your FB profile (so they can ID you, or something?). Errr... no. I won't ever put a pic of myself on my FB profile for safety and security reasons! Does anyone know if Rolling Solo is likely to accept my Join Request with just a pic of me riding my horse... from my shoulders down?? lol
