Evakool is a good brand, and you won't regret changing to a compressor fridge! You have got plenty of power!

Hi Mick.

I did a lot of research when I built my van, and installed a Nova Kool RFU9000, 258 Ltr, 12 volt (only) Fridge/Freezer.

Its made in Canada and runs the Danfoss BD35F compressor, and draws 5.5 amps when the compressor is running.

I`m very impressed with its performance. When we were in Port Hedland last november (46 Deg), it performed the same as Alice Springs in June (20`s)

I would recommend you have a look at their wed site. (novakool.com)

The importer is Ocean Solutions P/L, Brisbane, QLD. 1300791432 or 0755491212.

Hope this helps.

Regards.

Hetho.

Hi, we installed the Evacool platinum 240 ltr almost 2 years ago . We are full time travellers and it has never faulterd. Great unit, low power use,. Our only issue is that you can't fit a 2 ltr milk in the door.

Hi Mick

A bit late only just saw the post, we don't technically have one.....yet!

New van started this week will pickup in about 3wks will have the 210lt Platinum installed. I did the research, did not want the Waeco or Vitrifrigo and did not like the freezer on the bottom as is with the NovaKool( lots of negatives, and positives to be fair, about all 3 fridges listed, to many negatives for me).

All reports and stats on the Evakool sound good and their other fridges have a good name as well so only time will tell.

good luck I see you have ordered yours
regards
Ian
