Welcome to the gang John, enjoy here and out in the playground.

I reckon anti clockwise cos the 'wild west' is always trying to catch up with the eastern states smile so by going backwards I should meet them halfway I reckon.

Keep Safe on the roads and out there (including in the 'wild west')

G'day John, and welcome to the forum.  Great advice and people on here.  If you're going round the block need to time it for the correct season up north.  That's enough planning biggrin

Hi John, welcome to the forum it seems that you already know about timing your run. I lived in Dampier for a few years and personally I really wouldn't like to be travelling in that area October through April - I guess that you get used to the heat after awhile. At least in the Pilbarra it was a dry heat rather than the more humid conditions that you will get as you head further into the tropics.

Hello John Lohf

A warm welcome from me also

As you say, it will depend on the season, which direction you start from

I hope that you have a very good, happy, and enjoyable road trip, when you start out on your trip around the block

Tongue in cheek
(Err... some of us have a very good sense of humour John, especially some of us from the Wild West)

What Dougwe has said is true, we the folk from the Wild Test, are trying to catch up with the Eastern States
In particular we are trying to catch up with the person, who put out the following false rumour

The good Lord, decided that the sun would set last in the Wild West
Because he was unsure, if he could trust them in the dark

I'll be starting from Busselton WA. I have a good choice of direction (2).

if I leave mid year, I'll head North. Otherwise head East.

21ft van (off-road) with a Mazda BT50 tug.
