Or if you want to save some money there is infomation around on using your bathroom scales to weigh your towball weight, useing the scales and a plank of wood.

You can get the scales from either Camec or Super Cheap Auto for around $70 and the price varies with shop discount promotions.

I bought a set of the scales from Repco when they were on sale.

When we first bought the van - prior to loading anything - checked the towball weight and it correlated nicely with what was on the compliance plate (We have a Jayco, so know the van was weighed ex-factory, once the build was complete). I keep the scales in the van boot, and have used them a couple of times to check varying load conditions.

IMO, a useful tool.

Snap1946, You are obviously referring to these attached style of HYDRAULIC scale/jack as you described NOT the simple spring type available.

I will have a look for the receipt but it was a few years ago and they were purchased from a company in Melbourne.

Hope I can help further IF I find the receipt.

 ***MAYTOW were the sellers but Google shows they may have gone into liquidation in 2016.***
