Hello from "The Dog's House"

Just joined up here on the Forum.

New to the Grey Nomad experience, so I may be a little under-educated in some areas, so be gentle for now..

We just took ownership of a used van, a 14 foot Compass Park Avenue...

Single axle but a real tidy little van and just the size we need to start off with..

All accessories working quite well, although we are still getting the handle on our Dometic fridge, which I am sure I will get to know quite well over the years..

Luckily we have an 60ltr Engel which lives in the tug.

Souls assigned to The Dog's House are:

Driver and all things fixable - Brett

CEO - Lynne and

Security - Finn the Chihuahua X

We are currently doing the fitout of the van with all the necessities and readying it for her maiden trip from NQLD to Tasmania around the mid year...

We look forward to meeting many of you in our travels and sharing a cold drink at wine o'clock.

Hello from

Welcome to the gang The Dogs House, enjoy here and out in the playground.

The best CEO is a hands on CEO, Brett, so you need to look into that.

While you are 'tuned in' to the forum make sure you check all the different sections, including 'Stickies' and ask any questions in the oppropriate place. That way it is easy to find down the track. Also and as well even, if you do want to ask a question, check out the 'search' box above as most questions have already been asked and many good replies within.

Most people here are a friendly lot so as I said, enjoy.

Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

RE: Hello from "The Dog's House"

Thanks Mate, have the CEO learning a few things already.... gave her all the books for some light reading.

She is in charge of ensuring the cupboards are sorted with appropriate trays, racks and holders etc and she is doing a damn fine job....

Have already removed the old curtains, replaced with roller blinds and just finish making some pelmets to hide the rollers....

Tomorrow they will be stained in cedar colour, varnished and installed

G'day Brett, Lynne (and Finn!),  and welcome you to the forum.  Plenty of great advice and folks on here.  Don't forget to try out the two games - Who is This in the I digress section and Pick This Place in the general section.  'Pick this place' is a great way to find new places to explore.   smile
