New Jayco Style of Caravan.

I don't know if this interests the group, but a few weeks ago I was at the Jayco dealership, and there was a new style van just released, its an off -road unit built along conventional lines, gas cylinders mounted out side on the "A" frame, outside tool box etc. Bed east/west across the back. Aluminium cladding (I think) and by enlarge a blokey looking machine. Completely different from the Silverline Outback.

Is this the one you are referring to? -  Adventurer Brochure. There is currently no link on the web site for this model, if you go to the home page you will see a slide show at the bottom, you click on the slide with the Adventurer picture to get its details.

They are fairly heavy vans. The 13.42-2 has an ATM of 2300 kg, 15.50-3 - 3000 kg and the 19.60 models - 3499 kg.

They Jayco's.

Seriously.
If the 13\15\19 figures are feet in length.
Yes they heavy.

My last Roadstar. a SEMI-Offroader. 6.45mtr.
dual chassis rail, Tandem. went 2.270 empty.
and 3.200 gross.(Suspension\chassis max rating.)

And the Roadstars are built solid.
One of the better ones on the road over a lot of yrs.

They are a wee bit on the pricey side for a mass produced van.

This is from CaranCampingSales

The 13ft Adventurer on display had 'show special', drive-away pricing of $65,861, while the 16ft display van was $85,970 drive-away. The 19ft two-berth and 19ft family bunk Adventurer vans were priced at $92,464 and $93,513 (drive-away) respectively.
