We camped on the River last May - Council has removed all the waste bins down there. You can still park on the reserve opposite the Gregory Hotel (Great meals) - Solar showers and facilities across road from reserve.

Yes you can. B-n-L has been doing it for the last 6 years. Takes 5 days from Melbourne to get there & then stays 3 months at one of the camp spots upriver from the bridge. Changes every year due to the floods. River water good to drink so can stay till the food or gas runs out. Bill
The Gregory is totally gorgeous and there were plenty of rigs set up by the river under the bridge and on the reserve area when we were there a couple of weeks ago. The water is totally stunning. We swam every day and used the water for the billy but we were away far from the crowds. The Pub is sweet and a good gathering place for a cold drink and a meal. Have a great time Rob.
